A new project to collect and preserve stories of Mansfield’s Central and Eastern European communities launches this spring. Capturing Shadows is being funded by Historic England’s Everyday Heritage grant programme, celebrating working class histories.
Through a range of activities, events, and a collaborative exhibition we will uncover and preserve overlooked histories and create a digital archive celebrating the diversity that makes Mansfield great.
The Everyday Heritage grant programme by Historic England celebrates working class histories and seeks to explore untold stories and celebrate the people and places at the heart of our history. Funding has been awarded to 56 projects across England, which seek to tell the stories of our nation’s working-class heritage.
